The Waikouaiti Musical and Drama society production of Ma Baker's Tonic opened to a full house in the East Otago Events Centre at Waikouaiti on Wednesday night.
Theatregoers who were unable to negotiate floodwaters north of Oamaru were replaced by people on the waiting list, Waikouaiti Musical and Drama society spokesman Les Pullar of Waikouaiti said.
The dinner musical runs until tomorrow night. All the performances are booked out. Seating has been increased from 120 to 125 for each performance to eliminate an earlier waiting list, Mr Pullar said.
