A car fire on a back road near Cromwell early yesterday led to a drink-driving charge for a 33-year-old Mosgiel man.
Police and the Cromwell Volunteer Fire Brigade were called to the the intersection of State Highway 6 and Pearson Rd about 1.30am, to find the fire in the engine bay of the late-model Audi well involved.
The man was charged with driving with a breath-alcohol level of 889mcg and his driver's licence was suspended for 28 days.
