More than 100 people turned out in their finest 1920s attire for the $100-a-plate dinner and dancing fundraiser for the Oamaru Whitestone Civic Trust at the Loan and Merc in Harbour St.
Trustee and organiser Jane Campbell, of Oamaru, said the "fabulous" night was a showcase of the arts and arts-connected community in town.
"It was just a lovely opportunity to show off what’s here," she said.
The amount raised through the 30-odd-item silent auction on the night was not available before press time.
Funds raised would be put towards building maintenance and roofing work required on the trust’s Harbour St buildings, she said.
