Emergency services are attending a crash on State Highway 1, south of Herbert in North Otago.
A police spokeswoman said a van rolled about 11.30am and was blocking northbound traffic.
St John spokesman Ian Henderson said a person sustained minor injuries and was taken to Oamaru Hospital.
A tow truck was at the scene and the road was expected to be cleared between 1pm and 2pm.
