Representatives from 39 North Otago organisations celebrate sharing a total of $78,874 in sponsorships handed out on Tuesday by community-owned Network Waitaki Ltd.

The power lines company handed out sponsorships ranging from $500 to $8000

to a varied group of organisations. Network Waitaki chairwoman Clare Kearney said the organisations all did ''fantastic'' work in the community.

''That makes the community a much richer place, because of the work you do,'' she said.
