Christmas parcels for needy families

Oamaru Combined Churches Christmas Parcels project co-ordinator Adrienne Wylie and volunteer Sue Cole, show some Christmas cheer as they prepare to deliver hampers and presents to needy families in Oamaru.

Mrs Wylie said 89 families, nominated through a variety of agencies, would receive parcels this year.

She said the parcels had been created through charitable grants and donations from residents, businesses and organisations.
