Waitaki Boys' High School's board of trustees is fully committed to and confident in rector Paul Jackson, board chairman Garry McLeod said yesterday.
Asked if anything could change that, Mr McLeod replied, ''No.''
He said the board was unanimously committed to Mr Jackson.
''We understand what we are going through and the rector is going through and we remain fully committed to the rector.
''The board is unanimous in that. We continue to act in a thoroughly professional manner and remain so now.
''We also remain extremely focused on getting on with the process we are working through at present.''
Mr McLeod and the board had consistently expressed confidence in Mr Jackson since reported issues at the school emerged earlier this year.
He was adamant he had not changed his position after a report the board commissioned identified problems.
An edited version of the report by Dunedin education consultant Cleave Hay, was released publicly on Friday.
It said the school was ''past a point of crisis and needs immediate and comprehensive commitment to rectifying a number of significant risks''.
The board rejected the school was in crisis, but accepted the nine recommendations Mr Hay made.
It appointed internal and external people to investigate them, setting a deadline of September 30 to complete its process.
