A new group to support the work of Living History NZ will be launched in Oamaru on November 10.
Friends of Living History would encourage the concept of living history based on a presentation of past times and events, support the development of new works, train young actors and build up a volunteer network which would help realise those aims, spokeswoman Sherilyn Hellier said.
Living History aimed to tell the stories of Victorian Oamaru, with a new one-person show planned to premiere next year, she said.
Those attending the launch would meet the new cast and director of this season's production of The Great Storm.
