The $1500 raised through a silent art auction has brought Oamaru artist Kit McGregor one step closer to accompanying two of his paintings to an exhibition at the Angora Art Gallery in New York next year.
Mr McGregor sold three paintings, to go with two more he had earlier sold, taking his total fundraising efforts to $2500.
The remaining paintings have been significantly discounted and remain in Oamaru's Whisky Art Gallery, in the Loan and Merc building.
