That is the date when the Armistice was signed in 1918, marking the end of fighting in World War 1.
The Oamaru RSA Hub will mark the commemoration at 11am on Monday at the RSA Garden of Memories.
RSA local support adviser Barry Gamble said the "Southern Gunners" gun salute, The Ode and a small introduction formed part of the ceremony.
"It’s important we are remembering all those who put their lives on the line and those affected by war," he said.
Mr Gamble said the commemoration this year was "scaled back" after the Waitaki District Council pulled out.
"There will be no guest speakers, as the council are a bit bogged down with transformation.
"I stepped up and said ‘I’ll do it’," he said.
