Police have released the name of a man found dead in a converted shipping container in the Manuka Gorge, near Milton yesterday.
He was Michael John McDonald (33), of Balclutha.
Mr McDonald was discovered last night by an associate, Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen said.
The shipping container had been converted into a workshop and was located in a forestry block on Perry Road.
The death was not believed to be suspicious, but detectives are piecing the circumstances together, Snr Sgt Dinnissen said.
WorkSafe were notified and Dunedin CIB are investigating.
