The Northburn Wine Company has been granted retrospective consent to continue using an on-site building as travellers' accommodation.
Tom and Jan Pinckney were also granted amendments to conditions of another consent enabling them more extensive operation of their Northburn function centre and associated retail business.
The Pinckneys own Northburn Station, Northburn Properties and the Northburn Wine Company, near Cromwell.
They lodged two applications with the Central Otago District Council seeking an allowance for more visitors and longer hours at the function complex, as well as permission to keep accommodating up to six guests at a cottage on the property.
Retrospective consent for the accommodation facility was granted subject to seven conditions - the number of people staying was capped at six and at least three parking spaces must be provided.
The Pinckneys' retail and function complex, including a cafe and restaurant, can now open to the public between 9.30am and 5.30pm daily, as well as until 11pm for pre-booked private functions on no more than 100 days each year.
Functions may continue until 1.30am on up to 20 days each year.
