Alexandra police have arrested a third person in connection with a serious assault in the town on Sunday morning.
Sergeant Ian Kerrisk said a 15-year-old Alexandra youth was arrested and charged with injuring with intent.
The youth appeared in the Queenstown Youth Court yesterday.
"While we believe that we have now arrested the principal people involved, we are continuing our inquiries into this matter and we still have some witnesses to speak to," Sgt Kerrisk said.
He wanted to hear from any witnesses who had not already been contacted by police.
Two men were injured during the incident and one remained in Dunedin Hospital yesterday, in a serious condition.
The other victim received a fractured nose and bruised eyes.
Two Alexandra men were remanded in custody by Judge Paul Kellar in the Queenstown District Court yesterday.
They will appear in the Alexandra District Court on Friday, March 26.
Juthro Budweiser (22) and Daniel Noland (22) are both facing one charge of injuring with intent to injure, following a serious assault about 1.30am on Sunday during a party at an Alexandra address.
Police prosecutor Ian Collin said the assault case was still being investigated.
