Ms Cathie's appearance on the television game show was screened this week and she won $2050.
Her aim was to boost the funds for her "dream wedding" to fiance Sean Boyd but she said yesterday the winnings would probably not stretch quite far enough.
"I haven't received the money yet but when I do, it'll probably be used for a new drier instead, because we badly need a new one," Ms Cathie said.
She answered two questions correctly and that was the end of her turn.
It was strange sitting with her son Olly (3) and watching herself on the programme.
"I looked a bit shy, quite demure even, and I'm not like that at all.
"I don't think Olly could understand what was going on and how I was on television as well as sitting with him on my knee, but he did say: `you're funny, Mum'."
Ms Cathie works for ACC in Alexandra and said her colleagues were having her on about how she spun the wheel.
"They've been mocking me but what people can't see is that the wheel is really heavy. During the practice, it took me two goes to get it to even spin around."
