Technically separated into Pisa Moorings, Pisa Village and Pisa Cove, the farm land began to turn residential in the 1990s.
The growing area has vineyards and a boat ramp so its residents can easily cruise on Lake Dunstan. In May, Pisa Moorings Vineyard received resource consent to subdivide part of its land, and has plans to make new 82 residential lots.
