Owner thankful van, trailer located

A Cromwell man has thanked the community for their support following the theft of his van and trailer containing a large inflatable ride, which were found down a bank.

A police spokeswoman said an Espresso2Go van and trailer were reported stolen from Connelly Way in Cromwell on Monday. It was believed they were stolen the previous night.

The van and trailer were located down a bank on Nevis Rd later on Monday afternoon.

The trailer contained an inflatable obstacle course called the Spiderweb.

Owner Dan Harman said in a message he had a ''huge amount of moral support'' from Cromwell and the wider events community.

''It's business as usual for our coffee business and the Spiderweb will be good as new for the coming season.''

He could not be reached for further comment.

Police attended the scene but were unable to carry out a forensic examination due to the position the van and trailer were in, the spokeswoman said.
