One person has been taken into custody following an alleged assault at a Roxburgh property early this morning.
A police spokesman said Roxburgh police responded to an assault in Branxholm St at 5am today.
Police responded and took the person into custody.
The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
