No effort wasted in presentation

A spot of singing livened up the Central Otago District Council chambers this week.

The occasion was the prizegiving for the Central Otago School Zero Waste Challenge and Arlia Murphy (left) and Emily Wellstead (both 8), of Clyde School, presented their song Go Green as part of the function.

The girls were among the year 4-6 winners in the contest, run by the council, Central Otago WasteBusters, Enviroschools Central Otago and sustainable living group Making a Difference for Central Otago.

Overall winner: Bethan Clark, Alexandra Primary School.

Age group winners:Caitlyn Thompson and Erica Morris (Alexandra Primary), Andre Shaap and Brie Davidson (The Terrace), The Terrace Room 7, Clyde School Room 5, Clyde School Room 6, Goldfields School Room 1, Pablo Shaw and Mack Goodger (Goldfields), Madison Biggs, Emma Rees and Phoebe Wellstead (Clyde).
