About eight women breast-fed their children and enjoyed morning tea.
It was part of an annual campaign organised by Women’s Health Action.
Other events were held throughout the world.
Mrs Chambers said she had not encountered any breast-feeding taboos.
"But if somebody was uncomfortable with me breast-feeding in public, that’s their problem, not mine."
Organiser Jo O’Connor said the gathering promoted breast-feeding as a "perfectly normal thing".
"Everyone’s talking about sustainability. Well what’s more sustainable than breast-feeding?"
