But pronouncing and writing the word districtisation is not one of them.

The word has been used in the debate and consultation about a new council policy which would mean every ratepayer in Central Otago, more or less, paying the same amount for services provided by the Central Otago District Council.
It is one of those words which does not flow off the tongue.
At 15 letters long, plenty of effort is needed to get it out.
It is not a word found in the Collins English dictionary.
Mayor Tim Cadogan confirmed when contacted, it was believed the word was first used in relation to the districtisation of Three Waters in 2015.
"The actual genesis of it though is lost in time," Mr Cadogan said.
In a social media post, Crs Tamah Alley and Tracy Paterson said the word had indeed been made up.
Perhaps it would be better to say "district-wide approach to rates and decision-making".
