A Patearoa business has invited locals and visitors to come look at its lavender field before it is harvested early next month.

The field had been planted by Bunny Lane Garden and Craft Emporium owners Barry and Gaylene Flamank to harvest for oil to sell and to make into products such as soap and candles.

Mrs Flamank said they had first planted lavender in 2017 and had been inviting locals and visitors to view the field every year before harvest since 2019.

Many visitors stopped to take photos among the plants, she said.
