Police are no closer to finding the motorist who injured a Cromwell cyclist in a hit-and-run almost two months ago.
Yesterday police again appealed for information to help locate the vehicle believed to be involved in the January 23 crash, after which the driver left the scene before police attended.
The collision, which happened about 7.40am in Shortcut Rd, left 63-year-old cyclist Colin Reece seriously injured.
In a statement, police said a vehicle pictured in a previous appeal had been identified and eliminated from the investigation.
The vehicle they were now looking for was described as a metallic blue, square shaped ute with alloy bull bars.
The vehicle was believed was have black off-road type tyres and an alloy or galvanised roll bar on the back.
There was also an aerial base at the back on the driver’s side, with no aerial attached, and an alloy box on the back of the vehicle.
