Police have received other complaints about a group of dogs roaming in the Bannockburn area, in the wake of an attack on a local man.
The man received minor puncture wounds during an attack by three dogs on Tuesday and visited a medical centre for treatment.
A Staffordshire bull terrier-cross and two mastiff-cross dogs were later impounded by the Central Otago District Council and remained impounded yesterday, as the investigation into the incident continued, a police spokeswoman said.
Police were ''working closely'' with the council on the investigation, she said.
Two calls had been received from people ''reporting other incidents of concern about a group of dogs seen in the area.''
