The Fire Service is battling a massive out-of-control grass fire which has already claimed one house and is threatening other homes in Roxburgh.

The fire, above Branxholm St, is being fanned by gusts of wind up to 80kph.
Houses in the area have been evacuated and the fire, which has claimed one house, is threatening an area south east of the township.
Four helicopters and fire appliances from Roxburgh, Millers Flat, Dunstan, Alexandra and Dunedin are battling the blaze, which began late this afternoon.
