Thirty-three groups took part in the expo in Alexandra on Tuesday.
Wheelchair racing was on the day's programme, with teams of four people from businesses and community groups taking turns to go through a slalom course set up in Pioneer Park at lunchtime.
"It's something a bit fun but it also raises awareness of health and disability issues," expo co-ordinator John Marrable, of Dunedin, said.
Two teams were made up of expo exhibitors, while Dunstan High School pupils and Fulton Hogan staff made up the other two teams.
Mr Marrable said the positive feedback from the first expo, two years ago, had prompted a repeat performance.
It would probably be staged every second year, he said.
While a lot of services were based in Central Otago, an expo gave people the chance to see the whole range of services available, he said.
"It's also their opportunity to see new developments in some areas and catch up on the latest information."
