‘‘There's only been a very few that have seen it,'' president Jackie Smith said.
‘‘We started photographing at the very start of February and we got it all done in four to six weeks.''
The children are photographed in a different theme for each business which sponsored the month.
‘‘So they looked like they were working in that business,'' Mrs Smith said.
Businesses paid for the printing cost of the month they sponsored and once the photography expenses were covered ‘‘the rest is clear profit''.
Carolyn Laing, whose son Kohen (4) attends the playcentre, took the photographs.
‘‘There's an awful lot of hours that have gone into it,'' Mrs Smith said.
About 40 children participated in the shooting of the calendar.
The calendar would be sold at functions and market days and it is hoped to raise between $8000 and $10,000.
The first opportunity would be Sunday, June 29 at the Clyde Playcentre midwinter market.
The calendars cost $12 each or $10 for those who buy four or more.
The funds raised will go towards finishing touches of the playcentre's refurbishment and for indoor and outdoor equipment.
Educator Carol Gillions said with administration and compliance costs for re-licensing coming up for the centre, there would be no shortage of uses for the money raised.
