Campaign spending in the lead-up to Central Otago’s local elections has been revealed.

An Otago Daily Times report on December 21 outlined expenses during this year’s local government elections across the southern regions, barring the Central Otago District Council.

A council spokesman said elected members’ expense forms had been returned, but they had yet to be uploaded to the council’s website.

"Our apologies for any confusion caused."

Mayor Tim Cadogan was re-elected in October after a comprehensive win over his sole mayoral opponent Victoria Bonham.

His bid for re-election cost $1666.92 as he secured 7714 votes.

Ms Bonham received 904 votes in her mayoral bid and also stood for the council’s Vincent ward and the Vincent Community Board, but failed to secure a seat at either table.

Her campaign cost $600 for three lots of nomination fees.
