Board approves funding for Molyneux Park study

Molyneux Park looks set to undergo a major redvelopment, with the Vincent Community Board approving $36,000 for a feasibility study of a concept design for recreational facilities.

A recent survey on stadium use drew responses from 26 of the 32 user groups.

The majority did not have any problems with availability of facilities.

The stadium building was described by some as excellent when clean, but others said it needed a major overhaul.

Some considered the toilets a health risk; the building was cold, draughty and expensive to heat; courts were in need of resurfacing; and there was a call for new Astroturf.
