Arts and crafts event showcases creativity

St Bathans artist Helen Brook keeps shop at the Art at the Packing Shed event near Alexandra yesterday.

The two-day event at Earnscleugh’s Packing Shed Gallery and Cafe, began on Saturday.

Hundreds attended the event which included 13 art and craft stalls spanning pottery, ceramics, painting, photography, spinning and weaving.

Live music from local musicians also added to the colourful atmosphere.

Central Otago Art Society committee member Judy Campbell said the event served as a showcase for local art and artists in the area.
