The dates for next year's Rural Art Deco celebrations at Ranfurly have been altered after it was discovered that the event would clash with the Relay for Life in Cromwell being held the same weekend.
Rural Art Deco will now be held on the weekend of February 21-22 instead of March 6-7 as previously announced.
"We realised that [the relay] would take people from the community away, or they'd be left with an awful decision [about which event to attend]," Rural Art Deco secretary Diane Paterson said.
The committee had also decided to change the night of the cabaret, which is an annual feature of the event.
