Otago Goldfields Heritage Trust members (from left) Pauline Copeland, of Cromwell, Geraldine Macdougall, of Millers Flat, Jeanette McKay, of Clyde, Roberta Laraman, of Cromwell, and Rex Johnson, of Cromwell, inspect a cairn honouring Clyde's pioneers during a heritage walk in Clyde during the trust's 30th anniversary celebrations.

About 40 people took part in the two-day, Friday and Saturday, event, which included an anniversary dinner at Oliver's, where the inaugural meeting of the trust was held in 1989.

Trust chairman Mr Johnson said it continued in good heart and remained busy with ``education, preservation and interpretation'' projects.

The trust's patron, Fleur Sullivan, who was one of its founders, was a special guest at the anniversary dinner.
