Cars and construction toys were in hot demand as nearly 100 people attended a toy swap in Alexandra last week.

Central Otago Reap and Mums4Mums organised the event which allowed people to declutter and donate their toys.

On Thursday and Friday last week people of all ages came along and picked from the large selection of toys, books and puzzles on offer, all free to those who wanted them.

It was the second year the swap had taken place and this year’s event had grown in size.

SuperSkills volunteer Ann Conder said good quality toys had been dropped off by the public earlier in the week.

The toys that were not swapped will be put on display at the Alexandra Artisan Market Day, on December 14, and offered free to those who want them.
