Submissions on a private plan change that would allow a 900-section subdivision opposite the Highlands Motorsport Park corner are still being analysed, the task taking longer than initially thought.

Central Otago District Council planning and environment manager Louise van der Voort told last week's Cromwell Community Board meeting almost 400 submissions on Plan Change 13 were still being analysed.

''It's a much bigger job than originally thought. There are a lot of submissions.''

Almost all of the submissions oppose the application from River Terrace Developments to rezone land to allow the development on the corner of State Highway 6 and Sandflat Rd.

Ms van der Voort confirmed last month a hearing for the application would be held, but the date is still to be set.
