A vehicle left the road and rolled "two to three times'' down a bank in the Lindis Pass near Omarama yesterday, leaving a passenger with minor injuries.
Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen, of Dunedin, said the single-vehicle accident caused minor injuries to one passenger while the driver and a second passenger were unhurt.
The injured person was transported by ambulance to Twizel Medical Centre.
The accident occurred 12km south of Omarama near Longslip Station about 5pm.
The vehicle "fish-tailed'' before leaving the road and rolling down a bank, Snr Sgt Dinnissen said.
The occupants of the vehicle were Christchurch residents, he said.
A second single-vehicle accident was attended by police near Milton yesterday where a 63-year-old male was left with moderate injuries.
Snr Sgt Dinnissen said the crash happened just before Waitahuna on State Highway 8 about 3pm.
The injured man was transported by ambulance to Dunedin Hospital.
