The centre won the prize by being one of the centres to have the most teams signed up to the Get Sponsored competition.
The centre's secretary, Kirsten Lindblom, said all teams from the seven clubs associated with the centre had signed up.
They had not yet decided how to spend the money and would be asking for suggestions from the clubs, she said.
There were several things the money could go towards, such as new netballs and repairs to the net poles.
‘‘It's very hard to fundraise, so having something like this takes the pressure off. It's a fabulous position to be in, having to decide what to do with it,'' she said.
The club teams who had signed up to the competition had been busy for the past few months collecting dockets in a bid to win the sponsorship deal part of the competition, which closed last Sunday.
The results of that competition were yet to be announced.
Mrs Lindblom said it would be ‘‘absolutely amazing'' if one of the teams won that as well.
