The All Blacks sure know how to beat Australia at Eden Park but that will not be a huge advantage come Sunday, a couple of All Black greats say.
The Wallabies last won at the ground in 1986 - their coach, Robbie Deans, was still playing for Canterbury and many of their team had not even been born.
Since that 1986 test, the All Blacks have met the Wallabies 12 times at the ground and triumphed every time.
It has not always been convincing - 6-3 on a muddy park in 1991 and then a scratchy 21-17 win over the Wallabies in 2003.
Both these wins were immediately before World Cups and the sides met at the tournament later on and Australia won on both occasions.
The Wallabies have talked down any suggestion of a hoodoo against the side at Eden Park.
Coach Robbie Deans said the World Cup was completely different.
The All Blacks beat Australia 30-14 just over two months ago in a Tri-Nations match.
Former All Black lock Ian Jones said he did not read much into the power of Eden Park to get the All Blacks home but home advantage was always important.
"There can be a lot of power behind home advantage. You only have to look at a team such as the Reds with the way they played at Suncorp [stadium] this year and the way they used home advantage.
"The way players are today they think and talk about in the present and the last game these two sides played was at Suncorp and Australia won. I suppose there could be a niggly doubt and if the team does not start well and gets behind early then they may start thinking about it.
"But to me, it's is not a big issue for the players."
Jones said the game would not be decided by what pitch it was played on but who delivered up front and physically dominated.
The All Blacks did not do that in Brisbane and were found out. He was confident they would front on Sunday.
Former All Black flanker Alan Whetton said there was always history going into any game but he doubted it would have any impact on the game on Sunday.
"This is a different game than a Bledisloe Cup match, so it will not be seen as an issue. History can always be broken," he said.
He said the match was too close to call.
Whetton did not play in the match in 1986, when the Wallabies won, and Jones did not make his All Black debut until 1990.
