Marriage called a laughing matter

"Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage is about helping couples get it right, get along, have fun, and achieve a successful marriage," Pastor Mark Gungor says.

The public of Queenstown - whether married, in a relationship or single - can now experience the pastor's humorous marriage advice at an evening seminar at Frankton's City Impact Church on March 23.

Mark Gungor is an American pastor, motivational speaker, author, musician, and the CEO of Laugh Your Way America.

He has been invited by the City Impact Church to bring his popular seminar to New Zealand, with seminars in Auckland and Queenstown.

Pastor Lynne Tankard said the church was very excited to present such a high-profile speaker, but stressed it was a community event and not a religious seminar.

On Pastor Gungor's website, he says his take on marriage issues was "refreshingly free of both churchy and psychological lingo".

" ...

Relationships between men and women are very down-to-earth," he says on the site.

He is also able to draw on his own experiences, as he has been married to Debbie, his high-school sweetheart and constant travel companion, for more than 36 years.

The couple have two adult children and four grandsons.

The seminar is not just for married couples, being designed to inspire any couple, engaged or dating, or any single person interested in relationships.
