One person is dead after a crash in Auckland early this morning.
The single car crash occurred on the northwestern motorway near Royal Rd shortly before 3.30am today, a police northern communications spokesman said.
Serious crash investigators were at the scene and the motorway was closed city-bound between Hobsonville and Lincoln Roads.
