Kora band members (from left) vocalist-guitarist-keyboardist Laughton Kora, vocalist-bassist Francis Kora, drummer Brad Kora, vocalist-guitarist Stuart Kora and keyboardist-bassist Dan McGruer play in Wanaka on August 2.
Kiwi dub roots rockers Kora are expected to take the Lake Wanaka Centre by storm on August 2, the final of three South Island shows.

The Kora brothers and keyboardist-bassist Dan McGruer are still riding high on the chart-topping success of their self-titled debut album in 2007, but they have something special in store next month.

Vocalist-guitarist-keyboardist Laughton Kora told the Queenstown Times: "There are a few new tracks we really want to try out, as we've been looking at writing some stuff for an album.

"Wanaka has always been really supportive towards our music... It's a great time to head down during the boarding season, as well."

• Tickets are $37 from Play It Again Records, in Queenstown and Wanaka. Doors open 8pm, R18.
