South Auckland liquor store owner Virender Singh has no case to answer, a depositions hearing at Manukau District Court has found.
The court said that due to conflicting evidence a prima facie case against Singh could not be established.
Singh faced two charges of injuring with intent following the incident in Otara last September.
He argued he acted in self-defence when a group of teenagers attempted to rob his store.
