Performing at Tourism Waitaki's Fire and Steam Festival in Wansbeck St is Flame Entertainment's Jodie Glinster, of Queenstown.
The festival shut down Oamaru's Harbour St and the Wansbeck St extension on Friday night while a crowd of about 2000 took in light shows, two stages with six local bands, food vendors, fire eaters, a masquerade parade and a children's disco for 3 to 8-year-olds.
Face painting was done by the Waitaki Youth Council at the Grainstore Gallery.
The family-friendly street party coincides with the Steampunk NZ Festival which hosted an after-party until late at the Loan and Merc in Harbour St.
