Blue Oyster Art Project Space director Chloe Geoghegan is travelling to China and South Korea in August to strengthen New Zealand's art links in northeast Asia.
Miss Geoghegan said she was "over the moon'' to be selected for a tour run by Creative New Zealand and Asia New Zealand Foundation.
During the three-week tour, she would visit art museums, galleries and artist spaces in the countries to build professional networks and explore future collaborations and artist exchanges, she said.
The tour includes visits to art exhibitions including Gwangju Bienneale and Media City Seoul Bienneale in South Korea.
Creative New Zealand senior manager Cath Cardiff said she was pleased Creative New Zealand was partnering with Asia New Zealand Foundation to help New Zealand curators develop their knowledge, profile and networks in Asia.
