Rotaru scholarships of $1000 each for next year have been awarded to three "exceptional" year 13 pupils at East Otago High School, Dunedin Rotary Club spokesman Steve Metzger said at the school's prizegiving last week.
East Otago High School head girl Natasha Muller plans to study marketing at the University of Otago next year; head boy Lachlan Matchett will study mechanical engineering at the University of Canterbury, and dux Stewart Saunderson will study chemistry at Otago.
The Dunedin Rotary Club was pleased to support the three pupils, who were "all-rounders" with a range of academic and sporting abilities, he said.
