A man has been taken to Dunedin Hospital tonight after the car he was in crashed into a tree near Palmerston.
The crash happened on the Hampden-Palmerston Rd between Shag Pt Rd and Horse Range Rd just before 6pm.
A St John spokesman said the man sustained moderate injuries.
