Butcher (24) won the individual title at the youth versus experience series at Waikouaiti in March and helped the younger brigade to a win in the team competition.
He then added the individual title at the Trans Tasman Drivers Challenge at Ascot Park on Sunday, along with the team title with the North Island and now the brothers' invited drivers series is in his sights.
Butcher teams up with his brother, Ben (19), for the series, where they will take on father David and uncle Philip, Nathan and Matthew Williamson, Gerard and Leo O'Reilly, Ken and Clark Barron, and defending champions Jay and Sailesh Abernethy.
Butcher seems to thrive in these series and he relishes the chance to take on the top drivers in a fresh environment.
''I've been lucky enough to get a few good drives which helps but they're good trips and I enjoy going,'' Butcher said.
''It's good meeting new people and not everyone's lucky enough to get invited to those things, so when you do, you've got to make the most of your opportunities because it's not always going to happen.
Tomorrow is the first time he will compete in the brothers series, although he is no stranger to success at Oamaru, having teamed up with David Butcher to win the father and son series in 2009 before the format was changed to brothers.
Butcher has a mix of each-way chances and outsiders, but expects several to at least feature in the finish.
''I had a quick look through them and without being winners, I think they're going to be thereabouts,'' Butcher.
He had a better view than most of Mass Invasion - his drive in race 5 tomorrow -at Ascot Park on Sunday.
He was driving Poppymalda and was right behind the Clark Barron-trained mare, before he struck Mass Invasion's sulky tyre, causing Poppymalda to break.
''That was me and I got another holiday [suspension] for that, too,'' Butcher said ruefully.
''I would have beaten him [if Poppymalda had not broke], but the other one that beat him [Springbank Eden] isn't the worst horse, and the others were a country mile away.''
Butcher lobbed for Mass Invasion as his best chance for the day, but also respects Mighty Mara (race 7) due to its trainer, Ken Barron.
''When you are driving Ken's ones, you know they're going to be ready and they're going to do the job on the day.''
Dalness Xchange (race 8) has looked capable in his two starts to date, although Lyin Eyes (race 2) and Grace Lightning (race 3) might need luck to feature.
The winner of each of the five heats will earn four points, with one point fewer for each placing back to fourth.
Butcher's best chance of a win at Oamaru could come outside the drivers' series.
He drives Ice Crusher in race 10, who drops back from chasing home the All Stars Stables pair of Cash N Flow and Motu Premier in his last two starts.
