State Highway 1 is closed at Warkworth north of Auckland after a car left the road and caught fire.
Emergency services are currently at the scene, NewstalkZB reported.
Diversions are yet to be put in place.
Police say the vehicle came off SH1 Brown Road near the Mahurangi River Bridge and crashed into bush.
They say it is too early to confirm any injuries or fatalities.
