There was a good crowd of almost 100 people at the Waitaki Boys’ High school auditorium for the concert.
It was the culmination of the week-long camp where more than 70 musicians, from all over the country, practised every day together.
The performance included Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture, Elgar’s Cockaigne Overture and Wagner’s Overture to The Meistersingers.
University of Otago Emeritus Prof of music Peter Adams conducted and violinist Anna Loeser was concert master.
