A police search and rescue team is working to locate a group lost on a North Taieri walking track.
Police received a report at 7pm on Sunday the group had become lost and disorientated on the Chalkies Track, near Whare Flat.
Search and rescue have the group's coordinates and have advised them to remain where they are.
A police spokeswoman said they did not believe anyone was injured.
