Organisers of the Alexandra Primary School Junk to Funk fair held on Saturday are over the moon with the results.
More than $10,000 was raised at the fair and one of the organisers, Lynda Gray, said the committee was delighted with events.
The ice-cream stall sold out with the temperature reaching 30degC, and the water slide proved very popular as did the aerial bungy.
An unusual event, "cow-a-bunga", proved popular. Participants bought a ticket representing a square in a marked out-field.
A calf was brought in and whichever square the calf "pooped" in within a specified half hour was the winning square, with the ticket-holder getting $1000. Debbie Payton, from Earnscleugh, was the winner.
A group of parents had set up a beauty parlour providing funky hairstyles, funky nails and painted faces and that was well supported.
The money raised will go towards education outside the classroom (EOTC) activities.
