Canterbury scored their fourth win of the NPC season when they downed a valiant Southland 41-29 at Rugby Park in Invercargill last night.
The Southlanders were in it at 17-17 until lock Mitch Dunshea was sinbinned for a poor tackle very late in the first half.
Canterbury subsequently scored a converted try right on halftime.
The visitors did the same as the second half opened and got out to a 31-17 lead before Southland rallied with a couple of tries of their own.
Canterbury, though, had the last say in an entertaining game that produced 10 tries.
